The SPROUT project builds upon nine use cases in the SPROUT cities. Pilot projects are a means to test innovative mobility solutions in a real-world environment and to derive policy responses. The implementation and evaluation of pilot projects link to the previous steps: the assessment of the innovation readiness of a city’s mobility ecosystem and the understanding of potential future developments using scenarios.
This section explains and provides practical guidance on how pilot projects were implemented in the SPROUT project, how data was collected, and evaluation criteria defined, and how policy responses were derived.
The section is divided into the following stages:
- Developing an evaluation framework
- Preparation phase: detailing the pilot implementation
- Use phase: data collection and processing
- Analysis phase and evaluating policy responses
The following video by Teresa de la Cruz (ZLC) explains the use of Pilot projects in the SPROUT project. It provides a definition of Pilot projects, and explores the role of stakeholders and the selection of KPIs for implementing and evaluating the Pilot projects.
